Help & FAQ
Quick answers before you ping your teacher — sorted by what actually blocks progress on day one.
Do I need to install software?+
No. Lessons run in the browser, including the coding studio. Use an up-to-date Chrome, Edge, or Safari browser on a laptop or Chromebook for the best experience.
How do I join my teacher’s class?+
Create your student account, then enter the join code your teacher shared (usually on the syllabus or LMS announcement). If it fails, double-check capitalization-codes are short but exact.
Where do I continue my last lesson?+
Open your student dashboard-the Up Next card jumps to the module you should resume. You can also browse tracks under Learn.
Why does a video say unavailable?+
Rarely an embedded provider blocks playback on certain networks. Try another network, disable aggressive VPNs, or tell your teacher-they can flag the lesson link for our team to swap.
Can I skip ahead?+
Your teacher controls pacing. Some assignments stay locked until prior milestones are completed-ask them if you need an accelerated path.
How are coding labs graded?+
Interactive labs check outputs against test cases your teacher can review. Partial attempts still save-focus on readable code and rerunning tests before submitting.
What if I forget my password?+
Use the Forgot password link on the login screen. Still stuck? Ask your teacher to confirm you’re using the same email they rostered.
Does Breya sell my data?+
No. We don’t sell student information or use it for third-party advertising. Read more in our Privacy Policy (linked in the site footer).
Who pays for Breya?+
Usually your school or district purchases licences. If you see checkout messaging, follow your teacher’s instructions-some pilots bill households directly until a contract closes.
Can I use AI on assignments?+
Follow your classroom AI policy. Breya may include prompts where reflective writing matters-your teacher decides whether assistants are allowed and how to cite them.
How do I export or save projects?+
Many labs let you copy source code out manually; larger portfolio exports depend on what your teacher assigns. Ask if they want submissions via LMS upload vs. screenshot.
Something broke-who do I tell?+
Tell your teacher first with a screenshot and approximate time. They can escalate to Breya support with your section info without exposing grades publicly.
Teachers: mirror this list in your LMS or layer your syllabus policies.
